Until then, true enthusiasts will carry on an almost archeological quest for scratchy elusive Blue Beat singles. Most of these tunes are worth five or ten times the price of this CD on 45, and not without reason.
Get this while you can - its availability in Europe has been patchy to say the least. Possibly because he was part of a postwar, post-colonial social revolution, Prince Buster seems like some sort of ghetto supe- pioneer: a boxer, soundsystem operator, DJ, producer, live performer, humouristsocial and political commentator, owner of a record shop-label-and-jukebox empire, sharp dresser and all round coolest guy in Kingston, and therefore Jamaica, and therefore quite possibly the world at the time.
All his activities complemented and were complemented by the main event, which was his completely unique and inimitable voice, delivery and lyrics. He pronounced himself Prince, the Voice of the People, and made sure he lived up to his claims by being the best.
Just as he apparently made sure he would win every boxing match, he made damn sure he only used the cream of Jamaican musicians, on the hottest and hardest rhythms for his backing tracks and productions. When the time eventually came that he could no longer achieve that, I admire the fact that he largely quit the studio: nothing less than the best was ever going to be good enough for Prince Buster, and that ensured that his incredible output remains undiluted and in tact to this Trip My Wire - Garbage - Live Trash (CD).
He continued with the occasional live appearance, some of which I saw and which were always of the highest possible standard. I was lucky enough to travel with him to one gig and he really exuded the true meaning of cool a word which has become greatly abused now. It was funny to watch. That ghetto humour was at the heart of a lot of his lyrics and a huge part of his popularity in Jamaica. It could be brutal, as could the ghetto morality that went hand in hand with it in his lyrics.
On the stage when THAT voice was given free rein, it remained completely unspoiled — like his legacy — and came out exactly the same as ever.
He had always mixed singing and speaking so seamlessly and tunefully that at times it is almost impossible to say which of those two things he is doing. You would be very hard pressed to find anyone who has ever mixed those two things together better. He was the first real ambassador of Jamaican music worldwide, he was a voice of the third world — luckily for us, speaking in English, and that made him accessible to anyone in the rest of the world who spoke English and was willing to listen.
At first he was picked up in this country largely by working-class kids who could probably relate to the subject matter. Initially ska and reggae was mainly ignored or ridiculed by the mainstream and rock critics — maybe that was partly because Prince Buster was at the forefront of Jamaican lyricists, blatantly and unashamedly covering subject matter that was more or less unheard of in either Europe or America.
From ghetto violence and Trip My Wire - Garbage - Live Trash (CD), to sex in detailfrom black power and black pride, to commenting on social injustice and poverty, from advocating freedom from colonialism and solidarity with Africa, to other important matters like ridiculing his musical rivals or consigning them to the boneyard, or describing the music on his own record itself and how good that was — nothing was off limits.
In that way lyrically he influenced hip-hop and a lot that was to follow the world over. Buster and some of his Jamaican peers were liberating the sort of real language and subject matter years before it would eventually become commonplace not just in music, but in mainstream TV drama and comedy.
Stylisticallythe very idea of reciting over an instrumental backing track, which Buster was a pioneer of, became the basis of hip-hop years later when the Jamaican DJ Cool Herc introduced it to the Bronx. Buster was really the first king of Jamaican music and started an international process which, with the help of its second king, made reggae probably the most popular music in the world, only to be eventually surpassed in popularity by hip-hop, a form which it had itself helped create.
Myself and all the Two Tone bands owe him an enormous debt of gratitude. New York. Drawn from tapes recorded with King Tubby's Soul Syndicate band, the music included on 'Reckless Roots Rockers' is deeply ingrained with fissures of rhythm and dub melodies - bringing a vast array of talent to bear on some fabulously low-end material.
With much of the album recorded in Jamaica, there were plentiful tributaries on which to draw, as the likes of Jah Carlos, Bullwackies Allstars and Joe Morgan all make fierce appearances. Opening through the Reckless Breed's 'Dub Full Of Girls', we're immediately transported to a humid smoke-draped environ - as the familiar melody snakes its way through jaunty rhythms and an overarching sense of light that is a welcoming salve for a dark November night.
For those who know about such things, the inclusion of Don Carlos' deadly 'Jah Man' will be of particular note - with this particular slice of dub fortitude crafted over a rhythm double-take of Wayne Jarrett's 'Bubble Up' unavailable anywhere else and now rightly resurrected for appreciative audiences to rediscover, whilst dubs of Wackies' vast Black Harmony rhythm crops up throughout like a welcome friend throughout. Elsewhere, 'Exposure' from the Sylvesters is a lithe and uncluttered beast, Bullwackies Allstars 'Creation' contains some demon rhythms, whilst 'Chin Chow' from Reckless Breed will have you nodding till Sunday.

You can mostly one-hit them at max level 85 so was quite quick too. Comment by Teva Got mine after farming Library Guardians for about an hour. Comment by traesko About ten kills, Library Guardians.
Now I have to farm the rest of the recipes needed for this. Trip My Wire - Garbage - Live Trash (CD) drop gray items, sometimes handful bolts and a feelsteel bar. Skill:lvl 70 warrior. Comment by Whizkid The way I did it was quite simple - not try for it. I just did all the quests for the mechagnomes and bots around Fizzcrank Airstrip, and when I had to use a bot I killed for a quest which would destroy the corpse there are severalI would 'salvage' the corpse first, just to make sure it had nothing good.
Anyway, got plenty of engineering goodies along the way, and finally got me my schematic. Comment by Ezy2Confuze I got mine today. I had Engineering I mined it off one of the Library Guardian whilst doing the quest Pieces to the Puzzle It dropped off the second one. With the superiority of Cataclysm greens, my 77 Shadow Priest had no issue agro'ing up at a time. It's probably a good thing to note, You need two repair bots from previous expansions to make Jeeves. Inside the instance of Blackrock Depths.
Comment by Took me 4 casts to get the schematic. Maybe there is a higher dropchance as with Cataclysm? Comment by Bucifer droped after 7 or 8 Library Guardian :. Comment by OMGoodness! If you can't can't find a way to solo Flame Leviathan in Uldar and farming the Library Guardians is killing your patience, go for the mechanical constructs in a normal Halls of Stone or normal Halls of Lightning.
Comment by Took me an hour and half of killing those blasted Library Guardian's. Comment by Just updating the farm for 4. I hope your experiences are as fortunate as mine were!. My engineer toon was made during Wotlk and did not have the prerequisite 'rBot' recipes needed as mats for Jeeves. Upon reaching gnome and deciding to go after the 'goodies' of the profession, I decided to farm Jeeves. With the new ish 'abandoned' mole machinesgetting to this recipe is cake.
For RBA. Carry on to the West Garrison, go next to Golem Lord Whatzhisnutzand loot the plans copy which are on the floor next to him. Its always there. I suspect that Blizz has upped the drop rate on this schematic. I'm never this lucky grinding plans. My last grind was for those blasted sp wrist enchants in BC that took kills and 3 days off the BEM wind-traders Argh.
I farmed the librarians near Ulduar. It IS important to use your engineering 'skinning' ability on these after you loot them - this is the primary reason that drop reporting to wowhead is so thin, due to lack of engineering skinning as a practice, and the lack of people who use wowhead, who are also engineers, to update the dbase - so dont be discouraged by the low apparent drop rates. Mine dropped on the 3rd mob. So if like me, you were intimidated by previous posts, I think the grind has become somewhat tamer now - don't hesitate to go for it.
Note: Yes the Scrapbots are a more efficient way to make albeit exhaustible repair bots with reagents on them. But only Jeeves gives you access to your personal bank exception being the Argent Squire on a much longer CD. Comment by Panoplia My engineer got the recipe from library guardians within minutes and one round of the mobs - didn't have to wait for respawns.
Given my result and a slew of recent commenters saying that they got the recipe quickly I'm guessing the drop rate's been increased, though I have no proof of this. Comment by factura 15 mins of farming the library guardians and it dropped.
As noted above, remember to "mine" them. Seems like a great place if not the best place to farm this schematic. Lots of mobs, easy to kill. Recommend this spot to anyone searching for the Jeeves Schematic.
Comment by After farming this handsome robot's schematic for 6 hours at Borean Tundra, when I was about to give up, it dropped from a Defendo-tankD.
Hard times, but it worths. Good luck. Not completly sure how many i went throug but it took roughly 20min of farming. Remember u have to "skin" the mobs to get the pattern, its not enough just to loot them.
Gl and happy hunting. Comment by Go learn the schematic from BRD and the one from trainer before farming for this. I didn't, and farmed for an hour, then went to BRD, learned schematic and went back to Storm Peaks and got the schematic in 5 kills. Comment by behunter I actually got really lucky with getting mine. I was in the area where it drops I wasn't even thinking about Jeeves at the time, I didn't even know the schematic dropped there.
I discovered that the NPCs can be engineered and that sometimes they dropped cobalt bolts or volatile blasting triggers, both of which I needed plenty of.
Anyone I'm going around farming those mats not really paying attention to what I was getting all the time when all of a sudden I see a message come up saying Looting Schematic: Jeeves will bind the item to you. And Jeeves is easily one the best things that engineers can make. I love having him when I'm doing Cataclysm Heroics. Comment by Took me exactly 1 minute and about 5 kills for this to drop Comment by Just took me about 7 hours of farming for this, long hard work but finally managed it, now to work on the mats!
Comment by Never got it on my hunter although i farmed at least 10 hours with him. With my pala i got it while questing in Borean Tundra of those robots. With my rogue i just started farming : I'm testing if having the other schematics has any effect on the droprate. My hunter doesnt have the other rep bot shematics. My rogue and my pala have. So jeeves has to wait :. Comment by JohnEP 17 minutes 40seconds lvl 80Paly killing librarians.
Comment by Just got this schematic from those Librarians in Storm Peak. Took about two clearing of the area approx. Good Luck Farming! L85 Hunter, engi. Comment by superhumanjesse got it on my 64 with engineering in about 15 mins skinned from Fizzcrank Mechagnome.
I got the pattern out of BC first only because I read this thread firsttook less then 20 kills. Then headed to farm pattern for Jeeves, again got it in around kills. That was the easy part I spent the rest of the day getting other patterns needed.
I farmed almost everything I needed except the Khorium bars that are needed for the power bar. I still spent around 2k total I believe. Super cool to have, but very time consuming and expensive to make. I feel it was worth it, but this will be my only engineer I have 3 that will every get it! Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
Comment by Crystalblood i farmed this today. Comment by confirmed after 15 minutes farming groups of mobs with my aoer pally i got the plans library guardians stormpeaks.
Comment by slamdunk Trip My Wire - Garbage - Live Trash (CD) got mine from a robot in Borean Tundra. It took me awhile, but I can imagine that it will be worth it. Comment by I got the schematic on both of my engineers on the same day, after farming the Library Guardians for around 10 min each on each character.
I got them both from salvaging so you just have to remember to salvage after looting. Comment by Same as the rest farm the library guardians and skin engineering them after looting and after 10 minutes of farming i was able to get the recipe.
Comment by Angxia Killed the mobs at fizzcrank airstrip for the schematic with my 68 lock. Had 49 cobalt bolts, 38 volatile blasting triggers and 3 froststeel tubes after i finally got the schematic. Comment by You will need engineering skill to salvage mechanical mobs in Borean Tundra.
Comment by I just went to kill library guardians as suggested from other users, and I got the schematic in 6 kills!
Comment by At about kills Comment by Khuon Salvaging requires an Arclight Spanner. Comment by Martoch After 1. I did go into Halls of Stone to no avail for about 7 minutes Too few mechanicals therein. I'd suggest to anyone farming this that you prepare the Titansteel Bars ahead of time, that way you're committed to the farming effot, which isn't fun, at any level. Comment by just got on my engie - 83 kill of Library Guardians. Comment by Have cleared the area around the inventors library at least a dozen times now.
Tons of volatile blasting triggers and cobalt bolts, but no jeeves : I have the schematics for all the other bots and most f the mats already prepared, so i can't stop now though. Comment by olaf2k4 As of patch 4. Comment by It dropped last night off the library guardians. I had the other 2 schematics already and it took 2 days, about kills total. Comment by I read how this takes a while to get while farming the gaurdians and i went out there expecting to be there a while and got it first try Comment by sozboss dead Library Guardians later, Still no recipe Comment by Guys i am on the edge of going insane.
First i went to storm peak and farmed there for 2 hours without result lLibrarian Guardian. I gave up and went to Fizzcrank Airstrip and killed every thing that moved for 2 hours.
Then again i gave up and went to The Geyser Fields and killed anything that moved again. Just to clear it all out. Im skill lvl engieneer and yes i did loot and then salavged all the mobs with out any luck. Is this really that hard to get a hold on?
I am lvl 85 so if it is easier in any dungeons or in dungeons HC or? Comment by Sherkrieg Was farming this tonight on my level 70 twink with engineering, basically because I have no life. Flew to Borean Tundra, just killed all the mobs around the Steam Pools and voila, Schematic drops on 60th mob. I do not have any other repair bot recipe or any pre-Quest.
Just landed there and killed some easy mobs :. My hunter in 3 kills. My DK first kill today. Helped a friend get it in 5 kills. Maybe it's just lucky RNG, but I believe these guys are the best ones to farm this from. Accepted it, but didn't complete it yet. Third librarian salvaged dropped the Jeeves schematic.
So it's just random. Good luck :. Comment by Got mine farming and "salvaging" the Librarians Guardians in Storm Peaks in just about tries. Comment by endesmus Just opened an account to report that the schematic dropped on the 7th Library Guardian. Could be that I got extremely lucky but more likely the drop rate was increased. Comment by George14 Jeeves can grant bank access to very skilled engineers and perform mundane tasks such as buying, selling, and repairing for anyone.
Comment by Recommendation if farming at the Inventor's Library: Farm on the very top level versus the lower level. On the lower, when you "mine" the library guardians, it is all grey junk On the upper level, when you "mine", it is some grey junk along with some useful engineering parts. I spent about 20 min on the lower level and got nothing but grey items, thought I would move up to the top level closer to the entrance and the Jeeves schematic dropped in about 6 minutes after farming on the upper level.
In those 6 minutes I also collected 4 bolts, 10 volatile triggers, one overcharged capacitor and some tubing I have level engineering, Level 79 warlock. Comment by Cshoulder Got lucky and got it after about the 40th kill in borean tundra, had JUST finished the quests and was making my way back to turn them in. Comment by Visivicous Farmed the Library Guardians for this as a Goblin engineer with skill.
Based on XP gained, it took about kills. Got it the day of this post. Comment by wigglemonster I just got very lucky and looted off of my 5th library guardian near the inventor's library in storm peaks Regular loot, not salvage.
Comment by Desertcobra The Library, where the librarian guardians are, is in two levels. Like the fool that I am, I didn't notice this until after nearly 3 hours of farming the upper terrace to no avail. Then went to lower terrace and got Jeeves within 10 - 15 mobs. Don't know if this is any help to anyone, but it's here for what it's worth.
Comment by LoanzTheHunter After about kills i finally got it. Comment by Decided to go out, and try to farm this tonight while waiting for a Time-Lost Proto-Drake spawn, and I got the recipe after salvaging my 6th Library Guardian kill.
I wasn't expecting it to drop so quick. Don't know if it matters, but my Engineering is Comment by So I have had engineering on my alt since shortly after Cataclysm was released, but never really bothered to get any of the repair bots despite the fact that they are great help in dungeons and certain indoor raids.
So today I figured I would get it all done at once. I was psyched, so I went and got the schematic from Blackrock Depths took about 5 minutes on a level The next up was the repair bot from Blade's Edge Mountain, again this dropped in about 5 kills. Another hour of farming Titanium for the titansteel being the hardest and the delicate copper wire being ahrd as well since it requires a jeweller and it was done. I heard so many nightmare stories about the drop rate of the pattern I just wanted to put my 2 cents here.
Comment by Killed Library Guardians for a total of 5 hours before it dropped. Comment by Chamaz As a level 79 Rogue with engineering skill i have farmed Jeeves for several hours. In fact i was halfway to level 80 when i began and grinded until i reached level 80 with no drop. So dinged 80, looted the guardian, salvaged it, and BAM, there he was ;- I dont know Trip My Wire - Garbage - Live Trash (CD) right or wrong here, i can see alot of others have had Jeeves drop before level 80, but coincidence that he drops on the first guardian i salvage after i reach level 80, and not from guardians before level 80?
I dont know. Maybe the droprate raises dramatically at ? Comment by Rook67 Schematic dropped on 7th Library Guardian kill. Comment by I got mine oround my 20th kill, I spent about 12 minutes there. Comment by zerconi Dropped after 19 minutes of farming the Library Guardians. Comment by mantle Got this after around 10 mins of grinding, there was a full moon and I had sacrificed a chicken earlier. Seriously tho there is no magic way of getting this it's all down to randomness.
It did not take nearly as long as I had thought. I should have timed it, but I got the drop after about 30 - 45 minutes of farming. I found that the Library Guardian s are spaced far enough away that it is difficult to gather up more than about But, their respawn is pretty quick. So, it was not bad at all. I am very happy that I did it.
Just remember that it is BoP. I am not sure if it drops for non-engineers. Comment by Kruilty Well, It took me about 2 hours of grinding Library Guardians, but finally got it on my 2nd toon with Engineering.
Pally-lvl Just an alt. But Engineering and JC are both maxed. Comment by Got this from killing library guardians for an hour or so. Comment by Arlimist I farmed the Library Guardians like most people, the only thing I can say is be prepaired with a lot of bag space and maybe a few Scrapbot's made from the quest you can from killing these guys so you can sell the trash you get from it.
Comment by Callmedruid Only took me a handful of kills to get the pattern. Bring along 4x Handful of Cobolt Bolts and 5x Overcharged Capacitors to complete the quest without having to return to purchase or make the items. Happy Hunting. Comment by azureheart took me two-three hours to get this pattern to drop. Comment by Nebuchadnezzer2 just a side note, however from approximately engineering up to you can use other engineer's deployed Jeeves as a bank access point, without having the recipe or required engineering to learn the pattern.
I went out to kill ED and killed a random Fizzcrank Mechagnome. Looted, salvaged, and this popped up. No farming, didn't even know what it was until I read it. Just lucky I guess. Comment by OrbitStorm I've been farming the Librarian Guardians for approximately hours now, having killed in estimationclose toyet nary a drop.
Clearly the drop rates for this schematic was nerfed; either that, or there is some other prerequisite to finding this recipe. I noticed someone suggested the completion of a specific quest, but that seems unlikely.
Either way, the drop rates are certainly not what they've been bragged up to be. Comment by Just adding a comment here will make it drop sooner Comment by Despite the fact that it is listed as 0 percent chance, this does drop from library guardians and I will attempt to get a screeny. Comment by Kissingspree 2nd kill! Comment by This is not dropping at all in 5. Can it be AOE loot related? Comment by Farmed the Librarians for the schematic today with my mate. First 15 minutes my mate got his schematic and about 30 minutes later I got mine.
Both salvaged. Comment by Voxxel Around 20th kill in the Mists prepatch. Comment by Hina I never comment on anything but here I go: I'm not the most interested person in my alt, a paladin, who is also my engineer haven't yet played her in MoPand yesterday I was bored with my fiance and he decided to farm for Jevees and the other two patterns required to make it.
I was not going to farm for mine, because reading here it sounded really hard and I really didn't want to waste any time with it. I was just getting the pattern on SCRAP-E, and by curiosity, trying to figure out what I had to go for it, I went outside and instantly aggroed a couple of the library mobs, because 81's are green to 85's. I looted, found the quest, saw the mining pick I thought I could just mine it, took me the second one to find out what it really wasand when i salvaged the very first one I saw Jeeves.
I felt really bad when i saw it drop for me and i was doing that for him, but it didn't last for not even 15 minutes. I helped him to kill some more of those mobs and He got it too! I never knew it was as easy as it was, and if I did, I'd seriously do that in the past before blizzard ruined paladins.
And the other bot we had to farm took only about 10 mobs each. It took longer to farm for the eternal fire and eternal shadow had the earth already than for all 3 patterns combined. True story. I wish everyone the same luck I had with it. Comment by Rosebud I believe that they must have improved the drop-rate from salvaging on this schematic. I killed two npcs at the same time. One had the Scrap-E quest starter item, and the other one had the schematic for Jeeves.
I was surprised. Years ago I farmed the same mobs for hours with no luck. Based on my experience and previous comments, I am led to believe that they improved the drop-rate, significantly, which is great. Happy Hunting! Comment by Just got it on the 30th salvage or so. Didn't take long. Comment by killertofu I picked up this schematic from my 4th kill of a Library Guardian. I was actually going to run Ulduar but decided to kill some of these guys for giggles.
It wasn't looted from the kill, but looted from the engineering I did on it after I looted it. Happy Hunting on this one! Went to the area suggested guardians just south of Ulduar and it dropped after about an hour split into 2, 30 min intervals and it dropped!
They are kind of clustered, but not enough for a multi shot on a hunter to get more than 1 at a time. Comment by Aseros Got mine after kills :D. Comment by It still drops got mine after 80 kills today or so iam a engineer but i didnt salvage to get it, was just a drop. Comment by still can get Jeeves plan from stormforged reavers in version 5.
Took a while but it popped. Just remeber to salvage ie: skin the the kill. Is BOP, can't resell. Comment by unklebobb kills for it to drop Comment by I was farming in Borean Tundra, killing things and salvaging them My friend, lucky him, got it on both his engineers after only a few kills. Comment by nrgz Not sure if its been posted before but to salvage the Library Guardian you need to have an engineering skill of About Library Guardian kills. Comment by Bajungadustin did this entire chain.
Pattern dropped on my second kill of library guardian Comment by savvasferrari After 2 hours of farming Library Guardians Be patient men! The schematic will eventually be dropped! Comment by NickMansell After 58 minutes of farming this from the Library Guardians I almost had a heart attack when it actually dropped. But anyways, it took me roughly kills and nearly an hour to get it from these guys. Comment by Anzuma Library guardians are the way to go. Make sure you also post-process them use engineering skill on them.
